Community Connections and Partnerships

PHARA is an organization that serves the communities of North Bay, West Nipissing and surrounding areas. Yet, we are also members, of a variety of local, provincial and national organizations. This assists PHARA to do better by our clients, tenants, staff, and volunteers.

  • Canadian Housing Renewal Association
    CHRA is a member-based organization that represents organizations, municipalities, and individuals from every Canadian province and territory. We believe in housing for all and work to strengthen the community housing sector through advocacy, research, partnership, and member services.

  • Crisis Centre North Bay
    Provides a variety of crisis and immediate-need services that span into life skills and education services. PHARA works with this agency to help educate tenants and clients through the RentSmart education program.

  • Discovery Routes: ReCycle Bikes
    The program accepts bicycle donations and community volunteers repair, tune-up and get the bicycles ready to ride.

  • District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board
    Supporting accessible human services in Nipissing District.

  • Nipissing Wellness Ontario Health Team
    The Nipissing Wellness Ontario Health Team [NWOHT] is a new model of organizing and delivering health care to better connect patients and providers in the Nipissing-East Parry Sound area with the services they need.

  • North Bay Chamber of Commerce
    With over 650 members strong, the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce continues to build a strong business climate through advocacy, networking, information sharing and member programs.

  • North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
    The Health Unit provides services to over 125,000 residents within an area consisting of most of Nipissing District, and all of Parry Sound District. Our catchment area includes 31 municipalities, four unorganized areas, and nine First Nation communities.

  • North Bay Regional Health Center
    The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique healthcare organization with three primary roles. It provides acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, it is the district referral centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it is the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario.

  • Ontario Association of Independent Living Service Providers
    OAILSP provides members with professional development, involvement in provincial initiatives, and networking opportunities in order to advance the leadership capacity for independent living service provider organizations in Ontario.

  • Ontario Community Support Association
    A respected leader for over 20 years, OCSA advocates on behalf of our members and their clients, to government and other stakeholders. OCSA also creates partnerships, facilitates knowledge sharing, and offers training, resources and benefits that enable our members to continue to provide vital services to seniors and people with disabilities.

  • Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association
    ONPHA leads, unites and supports a strong community-based affordable housing sector that helps to build vibrant, healthy and diverse communities for all Ontarians.

  • Ontario Non-Profit Network
    ONN is the independent network for the 58,000 nonprofits in Ontario, focused on policy, advocacy, and services to strengthen Ontario’s nonprofit sector as a key pillar of our society and economy.

  • The Village’s Collective Impact Project
    The Village Collective Impact Project works collaboratively with seniors and Indigenous seniors (60+), their caregivers, stakeholders, regional community organizations and agencies to focus on developing new models of healthy aging and inclusion efforts to improve the health outcomes of seniors and Indigenous seniors living in the Nipissing-Parry Sound districts.

  • Volunteer Canada
    Volunteer Canada is a registered charity, providing national leadership and expertise on volunteerism to increase the participation, quality and diversity of volunteer experiences.

  • Yes Employment Services: EmployEase
    Yes Employment Services, in partnership with PHARA, presents the EmployEASE Accessibility Program that empowers North Bay & Area Employers, through a range of FREE supports, to diversify their workplaces and to create inclusive and accessible work environments for employees with disabilities.
